Environment
At Maritime Hydraulic we understand our impact on the environment and recognize our responsibility to minimize any effects. By minimizing the impact of our manufacturing processes and considering the environment in our designs we end up providing hydraulic systems which are safer (no leaks), use less energy and require less raw material.
We minimize wasted material by either returning surplus to suppliers or by purchasing off-cuts when possible. By thoroughly documenting every piece of material that enters our shop we are able to maintain material tracability and keep "off-cut" inventory.
One piece of steel may end up being used for several seperate jobs, minimizing waste. All of our fluids are managed so as to minimize spills and when used beyond their operating life are properly recycled.
Maritime Hydraulic is currently working on a new Environmental Policy, with the aim of ISO 14000 certification in the near future.
